Emily Miraglia

Emily Miraglia received her BFA in photography and related media from the Fashion Institute of Technology and has been living and working in New York City since 2015. Born in China and adopted by white parents from New Jersey, Miraglia’s identity and the diverse definitions of ‘home’ has informed the majority of her work. Through documentary and fine art images and video pieces, she explores complex themes of family and belonging.
In 2017, she participated in the photographic BFA show Alternative Facts with a piece from her project NJ. Her ongoing body of work IN-BETWEEN SPACE was featured in the 2019 BFA graduating show One Last Thing.
